It can be grown intermediate-warm in somewhat shady conditions. It is native to Java, Sumatra, Bali, Borneo, the Philippines, and the Thai and Malay peninsula.
It is small growing, but not true miniature. The most common form is more reddish, but it can also be yellow. These are seed grown plants, so there will likely be variations in coloration.
