Orchids, Scenery and Culture in the Kingdom of the Giant Panda, Northern Sichuan, China
Travel with Wenqing to the mountains of North Sichuan, mostly within the Aba Tibetan Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. Enjoy some of the most spectacular nature reserves and scenery in the northern hemispehere including the incredible travertine formations of Huanglong, Kalong and Shenxianci valleys, alpine meadows and the jaw dropping Danyun gorge. The flora is amazing, and includes Chinese Cypripedium species, along with many other orchids, rhododendrons, paeonies, pedicularis, primulas, meconopsis poppies, lilies, wild lilacs, and more. Offered in late June 2025 in cooperation with the Orchid Conservation Alliance.
